Winfred from Tampa asks:

How do I make sure my benefits continue?

Statepay support representative suggests:

States vary, but in most circumstances, they will require you to make an active search for work. Some have you register with a state-sponsored job board, others just ask you to keep detailed records of resumes sent, interviews attended and so on. If you don’t, your benefits could be reduced or denied.

Claiming on time is important, too. You will likely be required to call to recertify your benefits weekly or biweekly, and if you miss your time to call, you miss that week of benefits.

Some states may require you to attend training or educational courses, which you must attend, or risk losing your benefits.
