If you’ve already claimed your benefits, congratulations. You’ve taken the first step toward getting back on your feet. Now that you have some income coming in, you can turn your efforts to finding new employment.

Many states will, as a condition of receiving benefits, make you report to their job centers and prove you are conducting a search for work each week you claim benefits. This is a good start, though the state job banks do not have all or even most of the jobs available. So how do you find the rest?

You can use services like Craigslist.com, Careerbuilder, or your local newspaper. Exhaust all of your options- finding a new job is now your full-time job!
